360º Appraisal for Health

360° feedback has been used by learning and development professionals for many years to help individuals and organisations improve their performance, effectiveness and profitability. It is a powerful tool that helps you become more effective by understanding how others see you, your performance, your behaviour and your attitudes.

 

Structured Feedback

HealthService 360 works by gathering the opinions of a number of people.  A series of carefully structured questions prompt you to assess your skills in a number of key areas.  A number of other people - typically around six (although the GMC requires a minimum of 10 for doctors)- are then asked to give their perception of you by answering the same set of questions. All of the responses provided are then compiled into a feedback report.  The respondents cannot be identified in the report and because we are an outside third party, we offer the opportunity for people to give confidential feedback in a safe environment.

 

Identify Development Areas

The web-based software generates your personal feedback reports automatically, highlighting differences between self perception and how others see you.  Critical areas for self-development are often highlighted. Each staff member will receive an action planner to work through in their own time - either by themselves or with a mentor.  The pressure of face to face feedback is removed.  You choose who, if anyone sees the results.

 

Who It's Designed For

HealthService360 is made for the health service, the questionnaires have been designed by health professionals and they are specific to the behaviours and skills expected within healthcare. The 360° appraisal system is used by doctors, nurses allied health professionals and health care leaders and managers. There are specific 360 frameworks for doctors that cover both leadership skill and the requirements for revalidation. Questionnaires for leaders and managers are mapped to the NHS Leadership Qualities Framework (LQF). 360 questionnaires for nurses and other health professionals are KSF mapped frameworks and can be used with their annual NHS appraisal.
